The development status of the garment industry


With the deepening of global economic integration, the competition in the garment industry is becoming increasingly fierce, and the industry is gradually developing in the direction of science and technology and health, which also puts forward higher requirements for the development of China's garment industry, and is also the key for China to build a garment power from a garment power. The fundamental factor of building a garment power is to rely on the leapfrog progress of garment science and technology productivity to achieve a substantial increase in labor productivity. As can be seen from Figure 1, the raw material supply provinces of China's garment industry are mostly distributed in the coastal areas. With the deepening of the development of the central and western regions, various provinces in the central and western regions have begun to undertake the tide of industrial transfer, the garment industry has been transferred from the coast to the mainland, and garment industrial parks have been built everywhere. In 2012, inland provinces have become active areas for garment enterprises to invest, especially the central and western regions still maintain a good momentum of development, Jiangxi, Anhui, Henan, Hebei, Hubei, Hunan and other provinces bucked the trend and achieved rapid development. From January to June 2012, China's enterprises above designated size completed a cumulative output of 12.47 billion pieces of clothing, an increase of 7.73% over the same period in 2011, of which 6.352 billion pieces of woven clothing and 6.118 billion pieces of knitted clothing, respectively, an increase of 8.05% and 7.40% over the same period in 2011. There were 14,243 enterprises above designated size, and the main business income increased by 11.66%. Total profit increased by 9.66% year-on-year; The retail sales of apparel commodities by enterprises (units) above designated size totaled 453.8 billion yuan. China's clothing enterprises should recognize the current situation, see the direction of industry development, accelerate industrial upgrading, constantly introduce brand-name products, create value chain marketing, and realize the combination of culture and technology, only in this way can they remain invincible in the new situation. In general, China's clothing industry is on the rise, and with the entry of some e-commerce, making the competition more intense. But on the other hand, it also seeks more benefits and convenience for users. At the end of March, Dangdang launched a huge sale activity in its own special sale channel "tail goods", which has a positive and progressive impact on the entire clothing industry while providing users with discounts. During the Qingming small holiday, with the approval of The State Council, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Agriculture jointly released the 2014 cotton target price notice issued by the National Development and Reform Commission shows that the target price policy is an agricultural support policy to protect the interests of producers through differential subsidies on the basis of the formation of agricultural prices in the market. After the implementation of the cotton target price policy, the temporary purchase and storage policy was cancelled, and producers sold cotton at market prices. When the market price is lower than the target price, the state shall give subsidies to the producers in the pilot area according to the difference between the target price and the market price and the planting area, output or sales volume. When the market price is higher than the target price, the state does not issue subsidies. Specific measures for granting subsidies shall be formulated by the pilot areas and announced to the public.
