Background of the “Happy Summer Vacation” Factory Summer Camp Program
La “Happy Summer Vacation” factory summer camp, initiated by the Supply Chain Responsibility Code (ESCP), has seen a total of 53 factories participate in the program from 2016 to 2025, benefiting approximately 5,500 children. The “Happy Summer Vacation” project aims to set up child-friendly activity centers within factories during summer vacations, providing a safe and supportive environment for employees’ children. This allows children to spend time with their parents during the holidays, gain an understanding of their parents’ work, and strengthen the bond between parents and children. While parents are at work, their children can play and learn in a secure setting. After the summer vacation ends, these “Happy Summer Vacation” activity centers can be repurposed as after-school care facilities, helping workers care for their children during overtime hours and offering year-round support and care to migrant children, enabling more families to enjoy the warmth and happiness of being together.
