Background of the “Happy Summer Vacation” Factory Summer Camp Program
La “Happy Summer Vacation” factory summer camp, initiated by the Supply Chain Responsibility Code (ESCP), has seen a total of 53 factories participate in the program from 2016 to 2025, benefiting approximately 5,500 children. The “Happy Summer Vacation” project aims to set up child-friendly activity centers within factories during summer vacations, providing a safe and supportive environment for employees’ children. This allows children to spend time with their parents during the summer break, gain an understanding of their parents’ work, and strengthen the bond between parents and children. While parents are at work, their children can play and learn in a secure setting. After the summer vacation ends, these “Happy Summer Vacation” activity centers can be repurposed as after-school care facilities, helping workers care for their children during overtime hours and offering year-round support and care to migrant children. As a result, more families can enjoy the warmth and happiness of being reunited.
Given the evaluation results of the 2023 “Happy Summer Vacation” program, 90% of project leaders highly recognize that, following the implementation of the Happy Summer Vacation program, the employee turnover rate has shown a downward trend compared to the same period in previous years. Additionally, 90% of project leaders strongly agree that, after the launch of the Happy Summer Vacation program, employee satisfaction has improved compared to the same period in previous years. It can be said that the “Happy Summer Vacation” factory summer camp program has made significant contributions both in building a child-friendly social system and in providing high-quality services for children and their families. Moving forward, Huaxing Garment will continue to promote the “Happy Summer Vacation” program, dedicating itself to serving more employees and their children.
